Can you recall your initial experience with a high? My initial encounter was rather intense. It occurred at school but not during class hours. I would arrive at school an hour ahead of schedule to hang out with my friends. We decided to take a drive around the vicinity of the school. As I entered the car, they were preparing a blunt, and my anxiety was high since I'd never smoked before. We spent about half an hour hotboxing the car with potent stuff. We had the tunes of three six mafia blasting from two substantial speakers in the trunk. When it was time to head to my first class, I was in a state of intense euphoria, which had me in fits of laughter. I can't remember much of what happened at school that day until about 11:30.

It's as if it happened just yesterday. On a snowy day, I attended a birthday celebration with a handful of my pals. We chose to bring along marijuana instead of alcohol to appear nonchalant. At the tender age of 15, we girls didn't really think it through and proceeded with our plan. We rolled three joints and circulated them around the party. Unbeknownst to us, no one at the party had ever smoked before, and everyone ended up fairly intoxicated, including us. This led to parents being contacted and a lot of ensuing chaos. I didn't touch marijuana again until I turned 18.

The first time I tried, I didn't feel high. The next opportunity came during a music festival the following weekend. Two of my friends and I, being around 14 or 15, decided to give it another shot. We asked my then boyfriend, who was 21, to buy and roll it for us since we had no idea how to do it ourselves. He decided to be crafty and gave my friends joints mixed with tobacco, knowing I would share his pure weed joints. We smoked one, and then another 20 minutes later, all while we were also drinking. I was hit hard, feeling dizzy, nauseous, and suffering from dry mouth. Drinking more beer in an attempt to alleviate the dryness didn't help much. Despite the rough start, I've been smoking daily for over 25 years, so it couldn't have been as bad as I felt back then. Ironically, I'm glad we didn't have cellphones during those times. Reflecting back, I never did receive my remaining two joints. Additionally, my friends were upset because they ended up with joints mixed with tobacco.

In my first year post-high school, I had a meeting with a friend who was expelled for selling marijuana at school. He was a distinctive character, known for his red hair and Jewish heritage.

Our meeting was quite clandestine, taking place behind a store near a dumpster. I was quite nervous when he entered my car, but the tension eased once the transaction was complete.

Afterwards, I returned home to my mother's house and examined my newly acquired substance at my computer desk. I was surprised by its unexpected citrus scent.

My first attempt to smoke it involved trying to roll it with pages from a Bible, but due to my lack of rolling skills, this was unsuccessful. Eventually, I bought a rather expensive pipe from a gas station. Upon using it to take my first hit, I found myself entranced by the artwork on my walls, which seemed to come alive in my peripheral vision.

I ended the experience by making and eating some fantastic tacos before going to bed. A humorous anecdote was recounted about rolling with Bible papers being possible, though harsh, as they're not designed to be burned. This was compared to using pages from a phone book, which supposedly offer a better smoking experience.

During my first encounter with smoking, I was at my sister's house alongside my new partner. Despite being aware that I didn't smoke, my sister discovered that my partner did and was thrilled. She proposed a smoking session with him, highlighting my non-smoking status and her past unsuccessful attempts to get me to try. Not wanting to disappoint my partner, who offered me some, I reluctantly agreed.

To illustrate the event vividly, we watched "Dazed and Confused" under my sister's recommendation - an excellent selection, by the way. However, I couldn't recall much of the first 45 minutes of the film, as my extremely elevated state led to an introspective journey where I found myself grappling with profound existential questions, to the point where I was barely conscious of my own existence. It was an unforgettable experience.

We returned the following weekend to watch Pineapple Express.

The memory is still fresh in my mind... There was a birthday celebration I attended with a small group of friends during a snowfall. Instead of alcohol, we chose to bring marijuana, thinking it was the cool thing to do. At the tender age of 15, we didn't fully consider the consequences. We rolled three joints and scattered them around the party. Little did we know that none of the attendees had ever smoked before, and as a result, everyone, including us, ended up getting quite high. This led to parents being alerted and a whole lot of drama ensued. I didn't touch weed again until I turned 18.

In the early 1970s, when the narrator was in their twenties, they were in Laguna Beach, CA on a break from their service in the marine reserves, a method used to cope with their disdain for the Vietnam War. During this era, genuine hippies were a common sight. One such hippie offered to sell the narrator a quantity of a substance, which they accepted, paying $25 to $50 for an ounce. After consuming five units of this substance in their hotel room, they experienced a significant high, their first one ever.

In a separate account, another individual does not recall their initial experience with getting high, but they do remember that their first ounce came pre-rolled.

The reason might be related to the fact that I was only 13 years old and weighed just 110 lbs, even when completely drenched. Indeed, that could possibly be the explanation.

I experienced getting high for the first time at the age of 19. The whole experience was intense, everything seemed extremely humorous and I couldn't contain my laughter. Later, I felt a strong craving for food which led me to consume a whole pizza single-handedly in roughly 10 minutes.

Is there anyone who recalls the initial variety of cannabis they tried? I recollect that during sophomore year of high school, the potency of the cannabis that my companions were procuring started to increase. One kind was particularly vibrant, with distinctive red and green strands. Truthfully, I might have been told the name of the variety, but due to the combination of the effects of the cannabis and the loud subwoofers, I wasn't really present in the vehicle.

The first time I tried smoking happened when my sister met my new boyfriend. Though she knew I didn't usually smoke, she discovered that he did, and she was thrilled. She attempted to share a smoke with him, acknowledging that I didn't partake and that she'd previously tried to encourage me to try, but I never did. However, when he offered me some, I didn't want to disappoint him, especially as we had just met, so I accepted.

To best illustrate what happened next, my sister decided we should watch "Dazed and Confused" (an excellent choice, by the way!). Strangely enough, I don't recall any of the first 45 minutes of the film because I was so high that I seemed to be lost in a void and battling existential questions, unable to even sense my own existence. It was an unprecedented experience.

The following weekend, we got together again to watch Pineapple Express.

Your story reminds me of my own experiences when I get that high. I usually watch the Mighty Boosh and either wind up laughing myself silly or getting utterly bewildered. That show can be quite overwhelming at times.

A friend of mine suggested that there might have been PCP in the rolled tobacco I smoked, since the experience felt different from typical highs. I've read that a mutation in the chrm3 gene can cause intense reactions to strong cannabis. I've smoked a particular strain and had a genuine out-of-body experience, more akin to astral projection than anything else. It was wild. This could potentially be related to the fact that I was only 13 years old and quite thin at the time.

This might also have been influenced by the fact that I was only 13 years old and very lightweight at the time.

The user recounts their first experience with cannabis, indicating that the initial attempt wasn't successful. The following weekend, they decided to try it again at a music festival with two female friends. At the time, they were very young and inexperienced, so they had their then-boyfriend, who was significantly older, buy and prepare the cannabis for them. He decided to trick the user's friends by mixing their cannabis with tobacco, while the user's own was purely cannabis. After smoking and drinking, the user experienced severe ill effects, including difficulty walking, nausea, and extreme dry mouth. Despite the rough start, the user has been a regular cannabis user for over 25 years.

Reflecting on the story, the user seems to appreciate growing up in a time before cell phones. They also note a lingering annoyance that they never received the remaining cannabis they were promised, and that their friends were upset about receiving mixed tobacco and cannabis.

The user then agrees that being a novice cannabis user in the current era would be challenging. They express nostalgia for a time when lesser potent cannabis was more prevalent, before stronger variants became the norm around 2014.

During my first year after graduating high school, I had a clandestine meeting with a friend who had been expelled for selling marijuana. Our rendezvous point was behind a store near a dumpster. We made the exchange in my car, and while I was initially uncomfortable, everything settled once the transaction was completed.

Upon returning home, where I still resided with my mother, I inspected the purchased substance at my computer desk. To my surprise, it had a distinct citrus scent. My first attempt at rolling a blunt using blank Bible pages was unsuccessful due to my inexperience. Consequently, I bought an expensive pipe from a local gas station.

Once home, I prepared the marijuana and took my inaugural hit. The experience led me to spend some time appreciating the wall drawings, which seemed almost alive in my periphery. After that, I enjoyed some delicious tacos before retiring for the night.

The dry mouth was dreadful, so I consumed additional beers to alleviate it. Though this experience wasn't pleasant, it didn't stop me from becoming a daily smoker for over 25 years. Looking back, I'm grateful we didn't have cell phones during those times. On reflection, I realized I never received my remaining two joints.
