I found myself jolted awake at 2am, in profound pain. I took two capsules and a codeine, but had to endure discomfort for an hour and a half before it subsided enough to breathe comfortably. I didn't manage to rouse myself until around 9am, and I'm still feeling sore and moving at a sluggish pace. I'm unsure of what set off this extreme episode, but it's definitely within the top five worst I've experienced. I was so close to waking my partner to take me to the hospital. I'm truly fed up with enduring this.

Bummer. After doing some landscaping in an uncomfortable stance yesterday, it seems I've upset my stomach and the discomfort continues.

The task of moving 14 plants from a shed to their outdoor growing spot resulted in an unfortunate bout of intense discomfort, despite careful efforts to minimise strain. The lingering effect of the pain was so severe that it required the consumption of pain relief capsules throughout the night, leaving a feeling of exhaustion the next morning. There was an ultrasound scan of the affected area recently, with the results to be discussed with a medical professional in the coming week. The pain still persists, similar to the feeling of a surprise blow to the abdomen. The hope is that the medical expert can offer a solution to alleviate this ongoing discomfort which is causing considerable frustration.

Despite taking meticulous care during the relocation of 14 plants from an indoor setup to an outdoor environment, the result was an unfortunate bout of intense discomfort. Despite efforts to manage the pain with regular doses of herbal remedies, the aftermath left a feeling of severe fatigue. An ultrasound was conducted recently to assess the situation and a consultation with a medical expert is scheduled for the following week. There's still a lingering feeling of distress, similar to a blow to the stomach. It's hoped that the medical professional can provide some relief from this ongoing suffering, which proves to be quite exasperating.

Consider it akin to housing a sleeping dragon within oneself. Generally, we tread lightly and act carefully to not disturb it, but occasionally, it rouses and takes a bite. This analogy is quite amusing.

Stranded at the cottage due to heavy snowfall, a common occurrence. Approximately 30 inches of snow fell and in 3 days, I had exhausted all the easily accessible firewood. The main woodpile is located uphill about 30 feet away, and it took 20 minutes of shovelling and stomping to create a walkable path. I began transporting the wood.

After 6 rounds, I felt a sudden pull. By the end of the 7th round, I was in so much pain that removing my snow boots became a struggle. The pain was not in the usual spots but higher up on the right side, near an old surgical scar. The pain was severe and unusual, like a sharp stab in my side.

I managed the pain by consuming the last of my RSO capsule and a Hashy, supplemented with 3 aspirin and some stored codeine, before it finally subsided.

It's been a year since I last updated due to severe pain, reminding me of the old saying, "May you live in interesting times."

Adhesions, which are akin to internal scars, form as a part of the body's healing response following an operation. They develop when the healing process causes different tissues to bond, often in areas like the peritoneal cavity. After surgery, when two injured surfaces come into close proximity, inflammation usually ensues, leading to fibrin deposits on the damaged tissues. This fibrin serves as a bonding agent, linking the two damaged structures and initiating the early "fibrinous" adhesion stage. Fibrinolytic enzymes can limit or dissolve these initial adhesions, but if an injury impairs these enzymes, the adhesion may persist. In such cases, tissue repair cells infiltrate the adhesion, depositing collagen and other substances, which then solidify into a lasting fibrous adhesion. Research suggests that the presence of microscopic foreign bodies during surgery could also contribute to the formation of adhesions.

While some adhesions are harmless, others can restrict the movement of muscles, tissues, and organs, causing them to twist or shift out of place.

Abdominal adhesions are commonly a result of abdominal surgeries, with organs sticking to the surgical site or other organs within the abdominal cavity. This can lead to complications like abdominal pain or intestinal blockage. One notable consequence of such adhesions is Small Bowel Obstruction (SBO), a condition that can occur many years after the original surgery. An SBO, which involves the small intestine being twisted or kinked by an adhesion, can be a life-threatening emergency requiring immediate medical attention.

Post-surgery adhesions are prevalent, with over 90% of individuals developing them after open abdominal surgery and between 55-100% of women after pelvic surgery. These adhesions can complicate future surgeries due to decreased visibility and access. Some parts of the body, like the omentum, are more susceptible to adhesions.

The author of the original text shared their personal experience of undergoing multiple surgeries due to Diverticulitis, resulting in significant scarring and the formation of adhesions. These have caused ongoing pain and restricted movement, with certain motions triggering severe pain. However, they have found some relief through the use of medicinal cannabis, both smoked and in oil form.

The author concludes their post with well wishes and an expression of hope for anyone else suffering from similar conditions.

I recently had an unexpected experience after consuming three freshly made RSO capsules at around 4pm, primarily to alleviate some lingering discomfort from my old stoma site. Everything was fine until roughly 6pm, just as I was finishing a delicious meal. Out of nowhere, I felt an intense, all-encompassing sensation that bordered on the overwhelming. I was heavily affected and felt an urgent need to urinate.

Despite this, I kept reassuring myself that I might have consumed a little too much and the effects would diminish shortly. But contrary to my expectations, the intensity kept escalating, and I began to worry that I might have significantly miscalculated the dosage. The need to urinate remained, but I couldn't do it, even though the urgency was increasing to an uncomfortable level.

I began to experience distorted vision, amplified sounds, a tingling sensation on my skin, and rapid fluctuations between feeling hot and then suddenly cold. All the while, the urge to urinate never subsided.

The world started spinning around me, and I felt nauseous. My stomach started to hurt, and I felt utterly miserable for the next three hours. Despite this, I kept reminding myself not to panic and call emergency services to report a cannabis overdose. The urge to urinate was still there, but I couldn't.

Finally, around 1 am, from sheer exhaustion, I passed out and didn't wake up until 6am. It was an intense and rather frightening experience, enough to make me consider it as one of the most significant miscalculations I've made regarding dosage.

In response to that, I'm currently dealing with abdominal issues due to chronic dehydration from having half a colon, which leads to sluggish bowel function several times a month. Additionally, I have a constant bacterial infection from an abscess in my pelvis that no one seems able to diagnose, plus a viral infection. The past few days have been dreadful. I'm contemplating whether to take another capsule to help with the pain, but your experience has made me reconsider if I want to endure that along with my current issues. I guess I could just spend the rest of the day in a daze.

Caught in a snowstorm at the retreat, a fairly common occurrence. We received about 30 inches of snow, and within three days, I had used up all the easily accessible firewood. The primary pile of firewood is situated about 30 feet uphill, and it took roughly 20 minutes of shovelling and trampling to create a clear path. I began to transport the wood then.

After six rounds, I felt a pull. On the seventh round, I could barely take off my snow boots without complaining. The pain wasn't in one of the usual two places where I usually experience intense, unbearable pain. It was higher up on the right side, near a surgical drainage scar. A strange location, but the sharp, unbearable pain left me begging for relief.

I took the last RSO capsule I had, along with a Hashy, three aspirin, and a saved codeine pill before the pain started to subside.

I realised it's been a year since I experienced such pain that prompted me to document it. Reminds me of the old saying, "May you live in interesting times".

I found myself awake at 2am in severe pain. I took two capsules and a codeine, but it was a gruelling 90 minutes before the pain subsided to a level where I could breathe easily. I didn't rise until almost 9am and I'm still feeling sensitive and moving slowly. I'm unsure what caused this episode, but it was one of the most intense I've experienced. I nearly roused my partner to take me to the hospital. It's incredibly frustrating dealing with this.

All I did was move 14 plants from the shed to the outdoor plot for them to bloom. Despite being careful and reducing the amount of physical strain, I still had a terrible night with excruciating pain. I had to consume pain relief capsules every three hours throughout the night, which has left me feeling exhausted and drained this morning.

I had another ultrasound of the affected area recently, and I'm scheduled to discuss the results with the specialist next week. The pain still lingers as if I've been hit hard in the abdomen.

It's hoped that the professional can provide assistance for your discomfort, as it's quite aggravating. Your most recent MRI used contrast, yet they claim they can't identify anything from either the MRI or repeated ultrasound scans. Currently, you and your discomfort are at a reluctant standstill. You've been limiting your daily activities to keep the pain at bay. This isn't ideal for you, as you're a lively individual who enjoys gardening and staying active throughout the day.
