The plan to visit a urologist has been set. Recently, a blog about kidney health and the impact of marijuana on kidney function was read. A few acquaintances have shared that marijuana could potentially alleviate the pain and help break down kidney stones, allowing them to be expelled through urination. This only seems to be the case when the marijuana is ingested. When smoked, marijuana is absorbed directly into the bloodstream through the lungs, bypassing the liver and kidneys. Regardless, if it does manage to provide some relief from the pain, it's worth trying. The importance lies in the relief it provides, regardless of how it achieves it.

This is my experience with cannabis. I was suffering from enduring kidney stone pain and was eager to stop using opioids for relief. I visited a local dispensary and bought a few cannabis-infused gummies. While they don't completely eliminate the pain like opioids do, they help make it more bearable. I managed to pass the stone, which was about the size of a peppercorn, two days after I started taking the gummies. I can't definitively say whether the gummies aided this process, but I personally believe they did. I'm now cultivating my first cannabis plants and using the gummies to manage insomnia and stress in the evenings. Give it a shot, you won't be let down.

Alright, I've arranged to visit the urologist, which could be beneficial. Just last night, I came across a blog discussing kidney health and how marijuana can impact it. A few associates of mine informed me that marijuana not only alleviates the discomfort, but it can also interact with kidney stone crystals, assisting in their breakdown so they can be eliminated through urination.

The user shared their personal journey about how they started using cannabis. After suffering from a long-lasting kidney stone, they decided to move away from opioid-based painkillers. For this switch, they visited a local dispensary and bought some cannabis-infused gummies. While not as potent as opioids, the gummies helped manage the pain to a bearable level. Coincidentally, the kidney stone was passed a couple of days after starting on the gummies, leading the user to believe they might have contributed to this outcome. Currently, the user is cultivating their own cannabis plants and using the gummies for stress and insomnia relief at night. The user encourages others to give it a try, promising satisfaction. The user also noted that this post was made in 2022.

Suppositories containing THC could potentially be beneficial.

The original poster was diagnosed with sharp-edged kidney stones in both kidneys and asked whether cannabis could be effective in eliminating the stones and relieving the intense pain. They were advised by a respondent who had also experienced kidney stones to get any passed stone examined by a doctor. The respondent discovered through analysis that tea was causing their stones. They ceased drinking iced tea more than two decades ago and since then haven't had any more stones. They wished the original poster success.

The question at hand is whether cannabis can be used to expel kidney stones and alleviate the intense pain they cause. While it's uncertain if it can match the best pain relief methods, it's possible that it might offer some relief, much like chicken soup could.

The discomfort experienced during a kidney stone episode is often compared to the agony of childbirth. My child recently experienced this and was fortunate to find a leading stone specialist. The stone was sizable and lodged in the ureter. This wasn't a conventional lithotripsy case as she was identified as one of the rare individuals with a retro renal colon. The journey to her recovery was quite eventful, with numerous emergency department visits when the pain became unbearable, and only powerful painkillers provided relief. If you're suffering from intense stone pain, the last thing you'd want is to be under the influence of narcotics. This condition is also referred to as renal colic. For clarity, I should mention that I'm a registered nurse with experience in various emergency departments and have cared for many patients with this condition.

Marijuana isn't likely to assist you in getting rid of kidney stones. It might somewhat relieve the pain, but it's uncertain. Based on my past experience with gallstones, marijuana wasn't very effective in reducing the discomfort.

Your optimal course of action would be to consult a medical professional. Depending on the type of your stones, they can prescribe medication that could either dissolve the stones or lower the acidity of your blood and urine.

If you consume a large amount of coffee, soft drinks, or specific fruit juices, consider reducing your intake. While it may not significantly impact your current condition, it could help prevent any potential recurrences in the future.

Steer clear from any homeopathic methods. Given that only roughly 5% of kidney stones can be dissolved, popular home remedies like cranberry juice or apple cider vinegar, which are often suggested for treating kidney stones, might actually worsen your situation.

I sincerely empathise with your situation and hope for a speedy resolution. Experiencing stones, whether gall or kidney, is exceedingly unpleasant.

Only a medical professional can provide you with a definitive answer. As previously stated, it may assist you in disregarding the discomfort, but that's roughly the extent of it.

The stones might aid in muscle relaxation, but they could also increase the discomfort. The only method to determine its effect is to give it a shot and observe the results. Wishing you good fortune.

While it may serve as a diversion from the discomfort, it will not heal it, and I'm sceptical about its effectiveness in expelling the stones.
