I previously utilized mason jars, but I've switched to using Grove bags in both one pound and a quarter pound sizes. These bags have been successful in maintaining a humidity level of 52% for my cannabis for a duration of eight months so far. I am quite fond of these Grove bags.

I utilize bags that have two zippers and are childproof. I avoid using heat to seal them.

The original message suggests using UV glass jars or three-gallon black plastic buckets with twist Gamma lids for a certain purpose. The individual also mentions purchasing a few items from the Infinity Jars website during a sale.

Would using an electric vacuum sealer designed for Mason jars remove the moisture from a jar of marijuana? I currently utilize 62% RH humidity packs.

Could using an oxygen absorber potentially be more effective than vacuum sealing?

The original poster stated that they previously stored their cannabis in mason jars, but have since switched to using Grove bags in both one pound and quarter pound sizes. They have found these bags to maintain the weed's humidity at 52% for up to eight months. They highly recommend the Grove bags, particularly if the weed is properly dried before storage. The best method, according to them, is to heat seal the weed in the bag, store it in a cool, dark location, and then open it after two months for optimal freshness. The message was sent from their mobile device using a specific forum app.

Each half-gallon Ball jar should contain a 60-gram pack of 62% Boveda.

The speaker stated that there's no real advantage in using both a vacuum and an O2 absorber simultaneously in the same container, as both essentially perform the same function of eliminating oxygen. The speaker indicated that they've learned a lot over time and now store their cannabis supply in vacuum-sealed mason jars, which also contain humidity packs, inside a mini fridge dedicated solely to cannabis. They currently have a diverse collection of 15 different strains of Sativa and Sativa Hybrid. When they acquire new cannabis, they process it by placing it in a mason jar, adding a humidity pack, and applying a vacuum seal before storing it in the back of their fridge. The speaker noted that they started using the vacuum method just a month ago, but even without it, they've maintained some cannabis from January 2023 that has retained its original smell, taste, and potency.

I have utilized both plastic and another material for storing cannabis, with plastic typically being a temporary solution. Is there a superior option, or are they equally effective? Does anyone else have thoughts on this matter?

I utilize childproof bags with dual zips, and I don't ever resort to heat sealing them.

I purchased eight glass jars of one gallon capacity for my harvest and another four glass jars of half-gallon size for any remnants post-vaping. Additionally, I own a compact plastic vacuum-sealed jar for storing my ground material, which typically lasts me for a couple of days.

The question posed is whether using a Mason jar electric vacuum sealer on a jar of cannabis would remove its moisture. The person asking also mentions using 62% RH humidity packs.

They speculate whether an oxygen absorption pack might be more effective than vacuum packing. They note that both methods remove oxygen, but the humidity packet would ensure the bud stays appropriately moist. The effect of using an oxygen absorber is likened to purging the jar with nitrogen.

Both a vacuum sealer and oxygen absorbers have been used for long-term storage, over a year in duration. Both methods have been observed to be effective, as indicated by the color of the bud and trichomes. For extended storage, the oil is extracted and preserved in the freezer.

However, for short-term storage of under a few months, the use of vacuum sealers or oxygen absorbers is deemed unnecessary.
